Belknap Mill Society Artist-in-Residence

Larry Frates, Belknap Mill Artist in Residence The Artist-in-Residence serves as a professional arts advocate, creative consultant, and educational catalyst for the Belknap Mill Society. Through art classes, specialty workshops, intergenerational exhibitions and as leader of the Society’s Cultural Committee, the Artist supports the Belknap Mill Society’s mission to celebrate the Lake’s Regions cultural heritage through the arts and education.

The Belknap Mill Society is pleased to announce this year’s Artist-in-Residence is Larry Frates, founder of Frates Creates in Laconia. Larry brings 45 years experience as an arts educator in public schools, higher education institutions and at community arts centers. He has collaborated in statewide, national and global art projects, and was a New Hampshire Humanities Council finalist for Teacher of the Year. Larry exhibits his artwork internationally.

Beginning on September 7, 2016, Larry will be instructing art classes at the Belknap Mill on Wednesdays. For details, visit
