2024 Annual Report.

The Belknap Mill celebrated a transformative 2024, blending its rich industrial heritage with modern innovation. Thanks to a generous donor, the museum experience was revitalized with new exhibits, audio-visual storytelling, and interactive galleries that highlight the Mill’s 200-year evolution. The inaugural Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Ball raised over $36,000 for preservation efforts, while the newly established Belknap Mill Society Fund, created by longtime supporter André Paquette, strengthens the Mill’s mission through educational and cultural programming. To enhance visitor engagement, the Mill introduced micro wedding packages, reimagined its event spaces, and unveiled a fresh, modernized brand with a redesigned website.

Programming remained robust, with a diverse lineup of concerts, exhibitions, fiber arts workshops, and educational events. The Mill hosted school tours, partnered with the New Hampshire Writers’ Project for monthly writer meetings, and engaged families through free crafts and activities. Financially, the Mill strengthened its operations by refining administrative practices and exploring new revenue streams, including sponsorships and partnerships. With a focus on sustainable preservation and forward-thinking growth, the Belknap Mill continues to serve as a vibrant cultural and educational hub in the Lakes Region, honoring its past while embracing the future.
