David Stamps Archive
In 2025, Belknap Mill dedicated its new archive space as the David Stamps Archive in honor of David Stamps’ longstanding commitment to preserving and sharing the Mill’s history. A dedicated volunteer and supporter of the Mill for many years, David has played an important role in documenting the story of the Belknap Mill and the industrial heritage of Laconia through documentary filmmaking and the development of digital archive records. His work has helped ensure that the stories, images, and legacy of the Mill remain accessible for future generations.
The Belknap Mill houses an extensive archive of artifacts, photographs, and historical documents. At this time, we are unable to accept new donations due to limited space. However, if you have an item with a direct connection to the Belknap Mill or would like to inquire about viewing a specific piece from our collection, please reach out to us at info@belknapmill.org.
The Belknap Mill is currently processing and digitizing archival materials to create an accessible online database that will preserve and share the Mill’s rich industrial and community history. By organizing and expanding digital access to these collections, the Belknap Mill aims to support researchers, educators, students, and the public while ensuring these important historical resources are preserved.
