My Backyard
A Workshop performance of a new musical
In this new musical by Krisanthi Pappas and Bryan Halperin, a young musician reflects on the ups and downs of her musical career. In doing so, she explores her relationships with friends and family as well as the inspiration for her music - her backyard. We follow this performer as she struggles to appreciate all the painful, mundane, funny, and beautiful aspects that makeup everyday life. Remain after the show for a discussion and for a chance to give feedback to the authors and actors.

The Guys by Anne Nelson
A reading of an impactful play to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11
2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. This impactful play is based on a true story and tells the story of Nick, a fire captain who has lost most of his men in the Twin Towers. He’s looking for a writer to help him with the eulogies he must present at their memorials and pairs up with Joan, an editor also struggling with the aftermath of the attacks. As they make their way through the emotional landscape of grief, they draw on humor, tango, the appreciation of craft in all its forms—and the enduring bonds of humanity.
Tickets $10 available at the door at the Belknap Mill
There will be a discussion following the play reading for anyone who wishes to attend.

The Dinner Party by Neil Simon
A Co-Production with Community Players of Concord, NH
Here is a decidedly French dinner party served up in a chaotic mode that only a master of comedy could create. Five people are invited to dine at a first rate restaurant in Paris. They do not know who the other guests will be or why they have been invited. Tossed together in a private dining room, they have a sneaking suspicion that this unorthodox dinner party will forever change their lives.
“A blizzard of one liners...The audience can bank on some good laughs”
— New York Daily News
Tickets are not yet on sale, but check back here for a link once the Colonial Theatre is officially open. $14-$20
